Definition of Coverages:

Term Life - This type of insurance is excellent for persons with short term insurance needs such as paying off a mortgage or educational expenses for children. The benefit of this policy is the low premium cost. Premiums may be guaranteed for periods of one year, five years, ten years, or twenty years (depending on the company selected). The policy does not have cash value, although some policies have options to convert to permanent insurance contracts. The benefit to this type policy is that it provides the greatest death benefit for the least cost.

Whole Life - This type policy locks in premiums and guaranteed death benefits. Cash values are guaranteed at a minimum level and may grow faster with additional interest credited. The cash in these policies accumulate on a tax-deferred basis. You have the option to borrow against cash values. These policies tend to be more expensive but also offer the strongest guarantees.

Universal Life - This type of policy provides level premiums with flexibility. You may choose a level benefit at a level premium or premiums may be tailored to fit individual needs. You may even have the option of skipping payments (this will affect cash value projections) or changing the death benefit. You may also borrow or withdraw funds from the cash value as needed. The benefit to this type of coverage is flexibility.

Variable Life - This policy provides a life insurance contract where the death benefits and cash values vary based on the investment performance of the insurance companies separate account. The policyholder selects from a list of investment options as to how they want to invest their premiums (ex. mutual funds, growth stocks, fixed income, etc.) This policy allows the policyholder to take advantage of the growth in the economy and to have a say in where the funds are invested. Under these policies the policyholder gets the benefit of strong markets and bears the investment risks of down markets.

Health (Individual & Group) - Whether you are looking for individual or group health insurance we can assist in tailoring a program to meet your needs. Group plans begin with three persons and go up from there. Benefits may be included for prescription drug cards, dental, and life insurance riders.
